Monday, April 1, 2019 is our annual Notes from 108th Street Fundraiser, this year celebrating Burton Kassell, long-time Board Member. We will honor Burton’s long commitment to Bloomingdale and our students with performances by faculty, students, and guest stars. The event will once again take place at beautiful Broadway Presbyterian Church. It is not to be missed!

Come join a handful of talented actors as they play out a series of scenarios that could only transpire at a bar. Their scenes will run the gamut from comedic to romantic and will conjure up your fondest memories and bring to vivid life your greatest what-ifs.

Bloomingdale School of Music’s 54th Birthday Celebration| Friday, November 9th @ 8PM 323 W. 108th Street | Free Concert
As part of our 54th Birthday Celebration, BSM violin faculty member Naho Parrini explores the relationship between composers in nineteenth century France and how they expressed their friendship by dedicating works to one another. Works by Ravel, Chausson, Ysaÿe, and Kreisler will be performed. Naho Parrini – violin, Alberto Parrini – cello & Marc Peloquin – piano in concert at 7PM.
Join us after the first concert on our second floor as the birthday celebration continues with a cake reception and library soirée! Selections from French Cabaret and French song repertoire will be performed by BSM vocal faculty member Katie Copland, and two of her students starting at 8PM.
BSM’s Free Faculty Concert Series is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, New York City Council Member Helen Rosenthal, and New York State Assembly Member Daniel J. O’Donnell.
